Parking Armor trunk straps have 2” x 4” soft foam rubber pads on the straps. The pads provide a cushioned surface and raise the straps off the bumper. By raising the straps off the bumper, the soft strap pads add an additional barrier layer between the strap fabric and the vehicle bumper.

I did a lot of research in terms of a item that would protect the bummer of my new car from the disrespectful NY NJ drivers who feel it's ok to bump your car to get in a parking spot. I settle on Parking Armor and have not been disappointed. I've come to my car twice since i bought it and knew that the person parking behind me had to tap be in order to get in the spot, but I finally wasn't worried.
The Velcro attachment straps worked fine with my car, but it also came with a Velcro sticky in case you have a special trunk interior. It also says not to drive with it hanging, but I have a few times because some people park way to close and I needed to protection to leave the spot, and it didn't flap around on anything.
I definitely think this product is worth the cost. -

What a great investment to protect the bumper of my vehicle. I live in DC and the drivers here don't care what kind of car you have; they will purposely ram your bumper just to get into a parallel spot. Even if there's adequate space to get in and out of the parking spot. Well worth the investment and peace of mind knowing the bumper is protected.
